Angell Park Speedway officials are excited to announce we are officially just one month away until the start of the 2024 season. The season opening event gets underway on Sunday May 19th with the Badger Midgets, IRA 410 Outlaw Sprints and the Midwest Legends Dirt Series.
The Badger Midgets look to have a strong showing again in 2024. 2023 saw an average of 34 Midgets each night. Indiana driver Adam Taylor won the Badger Midget Championship and picked up 3 wins at the legendary Sun Prairie oval. Although Taylor isn’t running the full series in 2024 he does plan on running all Angell Park Speedway events. Kyle Stark picked up two wins in 2023 behind the wheel of the famous Red Deuce. Veteran driver Brandon Waelti picked up 3 wins at Angell Park Speedway. Daniel Robinson picked up the final checkered flag of the 2023 season during Night 2 of the Firemen’s Nationals.
A series of upgrades to the facility have been made during the off season to give the fans an even better experience. New plywood will be put up all around the guard rail from turn 2 all the way to track exit in turn 4. The biggest improvement that took place this off season was the removal of the wooden bleachers on the hill. The new bleachers will feature cement pillars as the base with new aluminum bleacher seats. The new bleachers will be much more comfortable and family friendly. Hats off to everyone involved with the Firemen’s organization for making these upgrades to their great facility.
Tickets for all Angell Park Speedway events can be purchased at angellpark.racing/tickets or at the gate on Race day. The Pit Gate will open at 1:30PM while Fan Gates open at 4PM. Hot Laps get underway at 5PM with Opening Ceremonies and Racing to follow. 2024 is shaping up to be a great season of racing and we look forward to seeing each and every one of you on Sunday nights all summer long!
