World of Outlaws Return to Angell Park Speedway in 2025
The World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series returns to the historic Angell Park Speedway in Sun Prairie, Wisc., for the first time since 2016 on Sunday, June 8 as part of the Wisconsin Triple, which also encompasses races at the Plymouth Dirt Track in Sheboygan and Beaver Dam Raceway.
In the World of Outlaws debut at Angell Park Speedway in 2016, 10-time series champion Donny Schatz picked up the win over Daryn Pittman, who led the first 17 laps. Schatz, who hails from North Dakota, took the spot on the 18th circuit and paced the remainder of the 40-lap race. Schatz opened the night by turning the fastest lap in time trials, which at the time set a new track record.
Leading the way for the World of Outlaws heading into 2025 is David Gravel, who earned his first World of Outlaws championship this past season. The Connecticut native picked up 15 wins to go along with 60 top-10 finishes. Carson Macedo finished second in points, with Schatz third, Buddy Kofoid fourth and Haudenschild fifth. The remainder of the top-10 in the 2024 standings were Scelzi in sixth, Logan Schuchart in seventh, Bill Balog in eighth, Brock Zearfoss in ninth and Landon Crawley in 10th.
The 2025 World of Outlaws season kicks off in February in Florida and runs through November in Charlotte.
